The entire collection of beautiful clothes is produced in a knitting workshop in East Hungary, where Kriszta’s father is responsible for the production. Afterwards, the fabric is sent to a sewing workshop, which is also located in Hungary. The final finishings, such as adding buttons, are done by Kriszta himself.
Eszka is adept at repurposing unused yarns she discovers in global yarn factory warehouses, fashioning them into distinctive and vibrant designs. Her collection boasts 100% cotton tops, skirts, jumpers, joggers, and pyjamas. Notably, a skirt from the FW 2020 line melds cotton with recycled acrylic. As for the jackets, coats, and kimonos, they’re crafted from pure cotton or a blend, sometimes integrating recycled mixed yarn, acrylic, or silk.
Complementing her clothing line, Eszka also offers a beautiful collection of cushions and blankets. Crafted from a blend of cotton and recycled mixed yarn, these vibrant blankets infuse a splash of color and cozy warmth into any living space, be it a lounge, bedroom, or office.
At COSH!, our inclination is towards organic cotton over its conventional counterpart. Yet, we appreciate Eszka’s utilisation of residual cotton. This sustainable approach not only prevents potential waste but also curtails the demand for fresh materials.
Embodying a bold fusion of hues and forms, Eszka’s stunning garments aim to embolden wearers, encouraging them to embrace and express their authentic selves.
Eszka uses recycled yarn for its entire collection. This is unique and commendable because it avoids processing new materials. She makes bags and accessories from fabric leftovers, avoiding nnecessary waste. Clothing made of 100% cotton is also easy to recycle afterwards. Eszka also uses renewable energy for their machines. An environmentally friendly process!
The unique and sustainable garments are only shipped within Europe. Transport, as well as greenhouse gases, are thus limited.
A portion of Eszka’s collection is vegan. The only exception is silk, derived from silkworms and is, therefore, of animal origin.
One of the main problems in fashion is overproduction and the short lifespan of clothing. By using recycled yarns and unused fabrics, Eszka applies slow fashion principles and extends the life cycle of raw materials. With limited models for each design, wearers can take pride in owning something distinctive, ensuring they feel authentic and unique in their fashion choices.
The brand’s mission is to deliver unique pieces made in small quantities to let everyone discover their unique style. Using only recycled yarns collected from defunct warehouses around the globe makes it difficult to trace where individual fabrics came from and how sustainable their materials are. However, the mission at Eszka’s core is noble and environmentally friendly, and we therefore award her a seal of approval in terms of transparency.
Moreover, on the “about” page, it is stated that no fabric off-cuts are wasted since remnants are used to produce bags and accessories in Eszka’s collection!
