The organic linen is made in Italy, the long flax for the fabrics grows in fields in Europe. However, the origin of the organic wool and cotton are not known. The cotton, however, is GOTS certified. This certificate guarantees you that the fabrics were made in good conditions, without forced labor, child labor, discrimination or other forms of harassment. The GOTS certificate includes a list of social criteria based on the International Labor Organization (ILO), in addition, the textile and garment factories are regularly inspected.
The cotton and linen fabrics are GOTS certified. What does this certificate mean exactly? The product must contain at least 95% certified organic raw materials. With the GOTS certificate you know immediately that harmful chemicals are prohibited, also all the textiles are dyed environmentally friendly. The end product must not contain residues of pesticides or heavy metals such as lead or cadmium. Genetically modified organisms may not be used either.
