LEV’01 is a Utrecht-based shoe label founded by experienced shoemaker Liesel Swart. With 25 years of craftsmanship, Liesel recognized a growing need for warm, comfortable, and timeless shoes.
Driven by this demand, she began making boots from 100% wool. The enthusiasm from her family and friends confirmed her suspicion: there was a significant demand for warm and stylish shoes. Thus, LEV’01 was born.
Since then, the collection has significantly expanded. In addition to the iconic boots, LEV’01 now offers felt clogs, wooden clappers, and woolen sneakers, all made from more natural materials that are more environmentally friendly. The brand is also working on developing an eco-friendly adhesive to ensure the shoes can be considered fully biodegradable.
