LOADS Collection is redefining what it means to create textiles responsibly. As the world’s first Demeter-certified biodynamic textile label, LOADS produces high-quality fabrics and designs made exclusively from natural fibres and plant-based dyes. Founded by Dutch artist Claudy Jongstra and her son Jesk Jongstra, the label continues their shared mission to connect craft, ecology, and regeneration through art and material culture.
At LOADS Collection, the journey begins in the soil. Using regenerative agricultural practices, they work closely with biodynamic farmers and ecological shepherds to source pure wool, cotton, linen, and hemp. Every fibre is cultivated in harmony with nature without synthetic treatments, pesticides, or chemical dyes. Instead, their textiles are colored with plant-based pigments made from onion skins, walnut shells, and other organic sources, enriching local biodiversity and soil health in the process.
The result is a mono-material textile collection which is free from synthetics, microplastics, or harmful blends that is not only biodegradable, but also deeply tactile, ethical, and visually expressive. Each fabric tells a story of place, craft, and care, bridging traditional techniques with contemporary design.
Production takes place entirely in the Netherlands: from the atelier in Friesland and confection in Groningen to the studio and workshop space next door. LOADS also offers B2B collaborations, working with hotels, restaurants, and interior designers to create bespoke fabrics and textile installations. The brand is expanding into fashion and aims to be both a textile label and a fabric supplier, offering natural dyeing services for other brands seeking an ecological alternative.
At its core, LOADS Collection is about reciprocity, not extraction. Through transparent partnerships, local production, and a deep respect for nature, LOADS builds a new model for the textile industry: equitable, traceable, and regenerative.
LOADS Collection invites you to experience the beauty of natural materials, biodynamic color, and ethical craftsmanship where every thread contributes to a healthier planet and a more harmonious way of making.
