Aard’ige Garens is the creative project of Lize Lorent, an enthusiastic knitter from Kessel-Lo, near Leuven. What began as a personal journey to find peace and relaxation quickly blossomed into a full-fledged webshop offering plant-based yarns. After years of knitting and teaching workshops, Lize discovered a deeper connection to materials without animal fibres, which led her to her mission: making knitting accessible with natural, animal-friendly alternatives.
In her webshop, Lize offers a carefully curated collection of yarns and accessories, inspiring others to create mindfully and creatively. She believes knitting is not just a hobby but a form of mindfulness that helps everyone take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Through Aard’ige Garens, Lize shares her passion and encourages people to be thoughtful with their creations.
In addition to her webshop, Lize enthusiastically hosts knitting workshops in small, cosy groups. The Aard’ige Garens workshops are designed for both beginners and advanced knitters looking to expand their skills.
