AYANI is a slow fashion brand founded in Berlin creating ethically made, timeless dresses for the modern working woman with sustainably sourced fabrics. Its founder Ani Bagdasaryan is of Armenian ancestry, which prompted her to search for a family-run business in Armenia to collaborate with. Until recently, the brand worked directly with a small Armenian workshop to create their new collections at the start of every season. Unfortunately the outbreak of the war in the Ukraine made transport impossible, forcing the production to be relocated to Poland. The dresses are made in small batches and on demand. For every AYANI dress sold, a donation to an impact-driven, Armenian based NGO is made to help tackle rural poverty and illiteracy.
