Nooch is not a sneaker label — it is a collective protest against the madness of the footwear industry; Every year, 24 billion pairs of shoes end up in landfills or incinerators. Nooch shows that things can be done radically differently.
Founded by Lotte Mulder and Stefan Wobben, Nooch makes fully vegan, PETA-certified sneakers with no trace of plastic — designed to one day safely return to the earth rather than pollute it.
Lotte knows the sneaker world inside out. After years in the footwear industry, she stepped out of the corporate rat race and moved to the countryside of Spain. There, she lived for over ten years fully off-grid, built an Earthship, ran a small eco-campsite, and lived in balance with nature. This experience became the foundation for Nooch: in nature, everything is in balance — and the same should be true for the clothes you wear.
Stefan first came as a holiday guest, but stayed for the idea. They shared a vision and decided to build Nooch together. Their mission: no exploitation of people or animals, no investors, no overproduction, no compromises. Nooch aims to become steward-owned in the future, where customers are active co-owners. With Mother Nature as CEO — every decision is made in her interest.
The sneakers are produced in small batches in the Porto region (Portugal), using materials that Lotte personally selects and checks down to the fibre for origin and safety. The goal: a shoe that is part of the natural cycle and in balance with nature.
The webshop opens only twice a year for pre-orders and then closes again. This keeps production focused, prevents waste, and gives makers the time to deliver quality. For the upcoming round, 1,000 pairs are planned — each pair made with care.
Nooch is for those who understand that sneakers can be beautiful, functional, and radically more sustainable, and who want to be part of a community working together to build a new system in which shoes do not cost the planet.
