The Twee Jongens in Amsterdam-West is a sustainable screen printing studio founded by two boys from Amsterdam (Twee Jongens is Dutch for two boys). Besides printing for businesses, brands and individuals, Melle, who currently runs the printing business, also does live demonstrations of screen printing at schools and events.
What makes this printing business so sustainable? Step 1: The screen printing is done with water-based inks, which contain as few chemicals as possible and are free of plastics. Step 2: the screen printing is done on clothing from eco-friendly brands and vintage clothing. You can always bring in your own (second-hand) clothes to get printed. Upcycling!
Melle especially likes to do unusual printing jobs and experiment with different fabrics and inks. Therefore you’re welcome to come here with crazy requests, Melle will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. Usually the printing time is about two weeks.
