De Groene Griffioen is an organic dairy farm located near Weesp, just outside Amsterdam, in the heart of the Dutch countryside. The farm operates fully within a circular, certified organic system: cows graze outdoors, are fed organic feed, stay longer on the farm and are not treated preventively with antibiotics or hormones.
Visitors can experience the farm up close through its on-site cheese dairy, farm shop and various educational activities. The shop sells raw-milk cheeses, fresh milk, eggs and beef from the farm’s own herd, complemented by local products from like-minded producers.
In addition to sales, the farm offers hands-on workshops, guided tours and even a cow adoption programme. Children, students and adults can all learn about sustainable farming and food production in a transparent, interactive setting. The location also includes a music studio and the “Acapellazaal”— a multifunctional space used for meetings, workshops and intimate events in natural surroundings.
De Groene Griffioen works with partners such as Vers aan de Vecht, Moma, Wilderland and Wij.land to promote short food chains, biodiversity and regenerative farming. Nothing goes to waste — organic flows are reused and knowledge is shared.
This is a place where nature, agriculture and community come together, with animal welfare, sustainability and education at the core of everything that happens.
