Painting with plants? Certainly! Meadow wormwort, cheesewort, nettle, birch, dandelion, privet… All plants with which you can create the most beautiful colours on textiles. In the morning, together with nature guide Anja Goudeseune, you go for a walk in the Palingbeek to collect the necessary plants. You will learn how to recognise these plants, what they can be used for and how to pick them safely.
In the afternoon, you then get to work putting the wool into jars for dyeing. Step by step, Isabel Decombel of the Sjettekastje will explain the process and then you will roll up your own sleeves.
Provide five 1l jars with lids, scales, cutting board, rubbish bag or large plastic bag, gloves, pruning shears, basket or bag to collect your plants in.
