Design and create your own unique statement earrings during this Sassey workshop at The Swapshop. Inspired by the theme of Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week, ‘From Past to Progress’, you’ll discover how leftover materials, previous designs and new ideas can come together to create something special.
You’ll be introduced to polymer clay, various techniques, colours, shapes and finishes, and draw inspiration from examples from Sassey’s collections. You’ll then design your own statement piece and get to work on it yourself. Whilst the clay is curing, you’ll enjoy a snack and a drink whilst getting a behind-the-scenes look at Sassey: from leftover materials and different techniques to the creative process behind a collection.
Finally, you’ll learn how to sand, finish and assemble your creation into a real pair of earrings.
No experience is necessary: you’ll be guided step by step. At the end, you’ll go home with a unique, handmade pair of earrings!
