Contemporary Jewellery Art in the Heart of the Altstadt
For the DFD Festival 2026, Galerie CEBRA opens its doors in Düsseldorf’s old town as part of the city-wide Fashion Days. For more than 37 years, gallerist and artist Anemone Tontsch has run CEBRA as a platform for innovative jewellery design, showing the work of around 200 makers across a compact 75 square metres. The gallery is known for its ever-changing programme, with a new theme-based exhibition every six to eight weeks and pieces made from unexpected and experimental materials.
CEBRA is more than an exhibition space: it is also a place to buy one-off jewellery and a workshop for repairs and more sustainable craftsmanship, where Anemone Tontsch brings her own interest in upcycling and recycling into the work.
During the festival, visitors can step in to see the current show, discover pieces by designers from Germany and beyond, and talk to the gallerist about the craft behind them. It is one of many creative stops across the city centre during this celebration of fashion, design and craftsmanship.
