Cyanotype, or blueprint, is an old photographic technique that produces deep blue prints on fabric. In this workshop series you then add colourful accents with embroidery stitches. Make a patch to cover a stain, or print your blueprint straight onto a white cotton garment for a one-of-a-kind result.
The series is a collaboration between the Graphic Lab and the TextielLab: session 1 takes place in the Graphic Lab, sessions 2 and 3 in the TextielLab. No prior knowledge is needed. If you want to print the blueprint onto your own clothes, bring a white (or very light) cotton garment.
