Borrowed, Not Bought: The Kleiderei Takes to the Runway
As part of Future Fashion Week, Kleiderei Stuttgart closes its Tash(Ure) Pop up Design Week with a fashion show that puts borrowed and reworked garments centre stage. On 26 September 2026, the runway becomes a showcase for what a clothing library can do: outfits assembled from pieces you can borrow instead of buy, styled to prove that a wardrobe does not need to be owned to feel new.
Expect looks pulled from the Kleiderei collection alongside creations shaped during the preceding design week, worn by a community that treats clothes as something to share, restyle and keep in use. It is a celebration of getting more wear out of what already exists, and of the makers, menders and stylists rethinking how garments move through our lives.
Whether you are a longtime Kleiderei member or simply curious about borrowing your wardrobe instead of buying it, this show is an open invitation to see the clothing library idea come to life on the catwalk.
