This introductory workshop gives participants a first taste of knitting on the single bed of a Brother knitting machine. Everyone creates a set of sample swatches using several basic techniques, taking them home at the end, and chooses yarns in various colours and materials, included in the price.
Topics covered include casting on and off, playing with different stitch sizes, three different ways of increasing and decreasing, and short rows (for shaping necklines and pockets). Participants with a specific technique in mind can email ahead with suggestions. No prior knitting experience is needed.
