This workshop introduces participants to working with the double bed on a Brother knitting machine. Everyone creates a set of sample swatches using several basic techniques, taking them home at the end, and chooses yarns in various colours and materials, included in the price.
Topics covered include casting on and off on the double bed, different types of rib knitting (1×1 rib, patent stitch and full needle rib), circular knitting, and how to transition from double bed to single bed. Participants with a specific technique in mind can email ahead with suggestions. Basic experience with single-bed knitting on a Brother machine is required to join.
