Swap It! Kleiderei Brings Its Clothing Swap to cooldown°earth
Kleiderei, the Cologne-based clothing library, is taking part in the cooldown°earth festival 2026 with one of the day’s side events: a clothing swap. Alongside keynote talks, workshops and cultural program points on the festival’s main stages, visitors can stop by the Kleiderei side-event area throughout the day to take part.
The concept is simple: bring clothes you no longer wear and swap them for new-to-you favourites brought by other festival guests, no purchase needed. It’s a hands-on way to give clothes already in circulation a second life, fitting right into the festival’s theme of turning climate awareness into everyday action.
The clothing swap is open to all festival visitors, whether you’re a longtime Kleiderei member or attending for the first time. It’s especially aimed at people curious about alternatives to buying new, and about how a wardrobe rental model like Kleiderei’s works in practice.
