For the first time, Bidules is setting up a temporary home in Marseille, from 4 to 26 September, to celebrate the launch of the mod.468. A newly finished frame born from a stock of unfinished 1970s fronts, developed together with Focus Focus and hand-assembled using original wire-core hinges and deadstock components. The story begins on 3 September with an opening evening at 88 Boulevard Vauban, where guests can browse over 250 deadstock frames from the 1940s to the early 2000s, enjoy live music and a performance by Céline Chiasera, and take in an exhibition co-curated with Posterita, featuring the work of designers Arnaud Eubelen and Melissa Mariller and photographer Mathilde Hiley. Food and drinks are provided by neighbours Figure, styled with flowers from Lila Noir. Throughout the month, the space stays open for anyone hoping to browse the frames in person — before Bidules returns fully to its regular Brussels home, which, don’t worry, keeps its normal hours the whole time.
