Repair, Reuse and Get Creative at NochMall
On Saturday 21 November 2026, the Zero Waste Future Festival by Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) returns. It takes place every year during the European Week for Waste Reduction. Previous editions were held at NochMall, the BSR second hand department store in Berlin Reinickendorf. Its halls filled with free stands where Berlin initiatives showed how to throw away less in everyday life.
The programme centres on hands on workshops. In the upcycling workshops, visitors learn how to give old materials a creative new use. The food saving workshops share tasty ways to make the most of leftovers. At the repair stations, broken items such as electrical devices can be brought along and fixed. At the BSR stands, visitors can get to know the reuse services on offer and join a prize draw and other activities. Snacks, drinks, music and games make it a day out for the whole family.
Tip: Bring along your own items that need repairing or could be upcycled.
