Schlagartig! Jewellery Workshop: Jewellery from Old Copper Wire

At NochMall, designer Daniel Carrión Rivas invites you to transform old copper wire, the kind found inside discarded electrical cables, into striking, handmade jewellery. In the ​“Schlagartig!” workshop, salvaged material becomes the canvas for your own ideas.

Step by step, participants learn to shape, bend and finish copper wire into rings, pendants and other small pieces. No previous experience is needed, the session is designed for curious first-timers as much as for practised makers. All tools and materials are provided, and you go home with a piece you have made yourself, plus the skills to keep experimenting.

It’s a hands-on afternoon of making that gives a second life to a material most people throw away, and a relaxed, creative way to spend time at NochMall, Berlin’s large second-hand department store run by the city’s waste-management service BSR.
