5 Years of BUTCH*WALK: Anniversary Show with Beverly Berlin
BUTCH*WALK is turning five and is celebrating with a jubilee show back on the SO36 stage. This year’s line-up welcomes back a fan favourite: Beverly Berlin, whose signature tie-collier looks are the perfect fit for this edition’s theme, Tie vs Cargo Pants. Expect bold styling, standout stage presence, and the kind of energy that’s made Beverly a returning highlight of the BUTCHWALK stage.
BUTCHWALK is a community event in Berlin celebrating the diversity, strength, and visibility of Butch identities. It centres a queer understanding of “Butch*” that includes all people read as more masculine within the FLINTA* spectrum: lesbians, non-binary people, transmasculine people, and other queer identities. Butches* often challenge heteronormative gender expectations and, as a result, regularly face devaluation, prejudice, or exclusion in everyday life. BUTCH*WALK responds with an empowering statement: creating space for pride, self-determination, and community.
