State of Fashion 2024: Ties that Bind highlights creative practices in fashion, textiles and contemporary art from the global South. This decentralised State of Fashion edition, curated by Louise Bennetts and Rachel Dedman in collaboration with Sunny Dolat, Kallol Datta and Hanayrá Negreiros, takes place in Arnhem, Nairobi, Bengaluru and São Paulo. Ties that Bind explores the complexity of tradition, the power of original knowledge, and the political potential of clothing.
