Traditionally, the second Saturday in June is the Night of Fashion: the 14th edition will take place on Saturday 8 June in Modekwartier Arnhem. The event by the creative entrepreneurs in Modekwartier Arnhem introduces local residents and the rest of the city (and far beyond) to the unique, artisanal products made in the Modekwartier. The shops and studios will all be open during Night of Fashion; on the streets and in the studios, visitors will be immersed in the atmospheres of UNDERLAND.
The theme of this 15th edition of Night of Fashion is UNDERLAND, with Fashion Quarter entrepreneurs inviting everyone to immerse themselves in their world. During this Night of Fashion, the main focus in the eve will be on art, culture, fashion & craft. There will be an official opening at 7pm in the heart of the Modekwartier at the intersection near Zuijders and the Bakbar. Then, all shops will be open until midnight to welcome visitors and tell the stories behind the handmade products. On the streets, entrepreneurs will entertain the public with catwalk shows, screen printing installations, exhibitions and other fashion experiences, among others. A feast for the eyes! There will also be live music at various spots in the district from 9.30pm.
June Fashion Month
Nacht van de Mode is part of the programme of June Fashion Month Arnhem, a month brimming with fashion and design initiatives in Arnhem. Think of the ArtEZ finals, the Stockdagen Arnhem, but of course also the State of Fashion Biennale. For this edition, the main location of State of Fashion Biennale is in the Rembrandt theatre, just around the corner from the Modekwartier. In cooperation with State of Fashion, there will be a window display route in the Modekwartier: in June, you will see a special window display at eight designers with a product printed with a silk-screen design by Faray Fayad. In addition, there are various activities at creative entrepreneurs such as vintage designer clothing sales in the garden at Froufrou’s, Art & preloved men’s fashion at gallery-gang and fashion & art with Laura Casas Valle at tiSHōō.
