Fixing the zip on your favourite jacket or that handy clock radio will ensure they have a longer life. This is an important part of sustainable living, as it saves resources that would otherwise go into new appliances or products.
A repair café works with volunteers. There is no guarantee of repair, but they are happy to see what is possible!
The following experts are (usually) present:
- textile repairers,
- electrical repairers,
- bicycle repairers,
- knife sharpener,
- jewellery repairer,
- computer (software) experts.
Come along and look at the possibilities. To give everyone a chance to have something repaired, you can only bring 1 item at a time. (with electro, the queue can quickly build up. Multiple knives/scissors are allowed).
