On 11 September, LENA will celebrate the launch of a collaboration with fashion designer Joline Jolink and her special Gertrude jumper.
Launched in October 2024, the Gertrude jumper is made of Dutch wool, knitted by The Knitwit Stable in Baambrugge. It is also the first garment to be dyed with plants from the Joline Jolink Fashion Farm in Welsum, in collaboration with Roua Atelier. Joline moved to the countryside in 2023 to make fashion with homegrown raw materials.
During this launch event, you will not only be introduced to the jumper and its special making process, but also to LENA’s loan concept: making fashion accessible by sharing rather than owning.
- 17:00 walk-in, drinks & bites
- 17:30 fashion designer Joline Jolink, natural dye specialist Roua Alhalabi, fashion activist Sara Dubbeldam and founder of LENA Elisa Jansen engage in conversation. About the development process of the Gertrude jumper, the collaboration and its importance.
- Until 19:00: admire Gertrude, meet the makers, celebrate with them!
