PRODUCTION LOCATIONS
- Netherlands: Design, laser processing
- Turkey: Production of sweaters and T‑shirts
WORKING CONDITIONS & WAGES
See You Again produces its denim pieces in the Netherlands and the sweaters and T‑shirts in Turkey. The proximity of Dutch production allows for close collaboration with partners, short transport routes, and better oversight of working conditions.
The label works with a small number of carefully selected partners, including sorting facilities and the House of Denim in Amsterdam, enabling a close, trustworthy relationship. Production does not take place in its own factories but in cooperation with partner facilities in the Netherlands and Turkey.
The Turkish factory is one of the Fair Wear Foundation-controlled sites and is regularly audited. The eight core principles of the organisation apply here, including living wages, no child labour, a safe working environment, and no forced labour. Thus, the production of See You Again in Turkey is embedded in a regularly monitored, socially responsible, and Fair Wear-certified system.
MATERIALS
- Upcycled denim
- Recycled cotton
- Recycled polyester
The upcycled denim is considered particularly resource-efficient, as it is made from pre-worn jeans that are reworked, cut, and redesigned using laser technology. This means no new raw materials are required, keeping the material in circulation.
The recycled cotton comes from shredded old textiles, significantly reducing water and energy use. Since fibres become shorter during the recycling process, they are usually blended with other fibres. At See You Again, it is combined with recycled polyester to ensure durability and strength. Although recycled polyester reduces the need for new fossil resources, it remains a synthetic material that can release microplastics. However, the brand uses it within existing material cycles to prevent waste and extend the lifespan of textiles. Read more here about how sustainable recycled polyester is.
PACKAGING
- E‑commerce orders are shipped in packaging made from recycled plastic. Hangtags and postcards are made of recycled paper.
- Throughout its supply chain, See You Again uses recycled and reusable materials, such as FSC-certified and RESY cardboard boxes as well as 100% recycled polybags for sweaters and shirts. Denim items are delivered without any individual packaging.
WATER USAGE & CHEMICALS
By working with reused denim, the use of water and chemicals is significantly reduced.
See You Again applies laser technology for redesigning denim pieces, largely eliminating traditional bleaching and dyeing processes. This method greatly reduces water consumption and avoids chemicals typically used in conventional washing or dyeing.
A portion of the collection contains recycled polyester, which may release microplastics during washing.
CIRCULAR PRODUCTDESIGN
See You Again’s denim mostly consists of monomaterials, mainly pure cotton, with a small percentage of synthetic fibres for comfort and elasticity. Since these jeans are rescued garments, the exact fibre composition cannot always be fully controlled.
The sweaters and T‑shirts are made from blended yarns, making them sturdier but harder to recycle at the end of their life cycle. Still, the approach remains circular, as all materials originate from existing textile waste.
See You Again is developing a take-back system that is still in progress. Collected garments will be checked, repaired, or transformed into new designs to keep them in use as long as possible.
The label offers a repair option, promoting product longevity.
CIRCULAR BUSINESSMODEL
See You Again offers a repair service to extend the lifespan of its garments.
A take-back system is planned but still under development. The aim is to collect used or damaged garments, assess their condition, and repair or repurpose them into new items. This helps keep materials in circulation for longer.
Other circular business models, such as rental or resale programmes, do not yet exist.

PRODUCT TRANSPARENCY
See You Again currently has no website and therefore no product pages. However, the brand ensures transparency directly on the product itself: each garment carries a QR code that allows customers to see which sorting factory the item came from, its history, and how it can be reused or returned. This provides a high level of traceability at product level.
PROCESSES TRANSPARENCY
Since there is no website yet, available information is general rather than product-specific. Traceability of individual garments is only possible via the QR codes, which show the sorting facility and processing steps.
See You Again shares basic information about its operations, partners, and production processes with COSH!.
