nuud produces in the Netherlands, which guarantees fair wages and the assurance of fair and safe working conditions.
According to its own statements, nuud works with two main suppliers and maintains regular contact with them, as well as close, long-term collaboration.

Micro silver is nuud’s central active principle against odour. The brand emphasises that it uses metallic micro silver and not nano or colloidal silver, because, in its view, very small particles or dissolved silver involve more uncertainty. Zinc oxide is described as an antibacterial active ingredient that is intended to convert fatty acids in sweat into less odorous salts.

For the other ingredients, the classification depends strongly on cultivation method, land use, supply chain, and processing. However, nuud does not provide countries of origin or evidence for this.

According to nuud, the company is plastic negative thanks to a collaboration with rePurpose Global.

PACKAGING

For product packaging, nuud mentions a tube made from sugarcane-based bioplastic as well as an unbleached FSC cardboard box. At the same time, the brand notes that the cap is currently made of conventional plastic, because an alternative made from sugarcane material has, according to the brand, not yet been robust enough.

For shipping in e‑commerce, nuud uses paper cartons.

Within the supply chain, cartons are also used and plastic is avoided as far as possible.

WATER USE & CHEMICALS
