In their Arnhem studio, they empower non-standard workers excluded from the conventional labour market. Based in Arnhem, Fraenck is a dedicated social enterprise prioritising social employment. Committed to sustainability, they design bags, clothing, and accessories from upcycled and recycled materials.

Articles such as trendy pouches, bicycle bags, and backpacks are made from waste materials like tarpaulin scraps, upcycled artificial leather, discarded seatbelts, banners, and waste materials from the furniture industry. Notably, these waste materials are sourced from Dutch manufacturers, including Buitink Technology, a highly innovative technical textiles manufacturing company.

Prioritising eco-consciousness even in their shipping methods, Fraenck uses sustainable packaging. The team gathers cardboard boxes from nearby stores for reuse, ensuring no plastic is involved in their shipping process.

Fraenck stands as a testament to circular fashion. They create new bags, clothing, and accessories by sourcing waste materials like tarpaulin offcuts, discarded seatbelts, and surplus from the furniture industry. In addition to their product creation, their commitment to a circular model is further emphasised by repurposing cardboard boxes from local shops. Even at the end of a product’s life, Fraenck remains dedicated to circularity. Customers can return their worn-out purchases for correct recycling and receive a discount on their next purchase.

The Fraenck collections have a short supply chain, as the materials come from waste streams from Dutch producers. The Fraenck team makes all bags, clothing and accessories locally in their studio in Arnhem.

Fraenck transforms waste materials, meaning no animals are directly involved in production. In fact, most designs are 100% vegan!

The brand’s collection is shaped by its commitment to upcycling waste materials. All items are made in limited editions based on the supply of the material. Fraenck also makes customised corporate gifts from materials supplied by the company.
