Anne Drake used to work in the packaging industry with her husband before she turned her life around back in 2013. The documentary Plastic Planet by Werner Boote made a huge impact on her and convinced her to leave the packaging industry and pursue a zero waste lifestyle. She helps others in their transition and has penned two books: ‘Ecologie op hoge hakken’ (‘Ecology in high heels’) and ‘Eco-lifestyle. Aan de slag!’ (‘Eco-lifestyle. Get to work!’), which are unfortunately not available in English yet.
Anne Drake also hosts workshops all over Flanders and her webshop has everything you’ll need for greener living. If you’re not able to attend a workshop in person, don’t panic! Just order one of her workshop boxes which comes with video instructions and all of the raw materials needed for some DIY natural cosmetics and cleaning products.
