All pieces by ANDREA BOS are made by Andrea herself in her studio in Borgerhout. Thanks to the local aspect, the designer can ensure good working conditions.

ANDREA BOS’s designs are made from second-hand and preloved fabrics.

This saves the fashion designer energy and raw materials needed to produce new textiles. Andrea specifically chooses natural and biodegradable materials such as organic cotton and hemp for the inside of the kimono jackets.

Andrea consciously looks for quality second-hand garments for her new designs. For example, she prefers jeans made from 100% cotton. This way, Andrea wants to make the lifespan of the clothes as long as possible.

ANDREA BOS uses second-hand textiles and, in doing so, contributes to a circular economy. This economic model aims to give materials a function for as long as possible and to create as little waste as possible. Thanks to ANDREA BOS, used textiles get a second life and garments are saved from the gigantic textile waste mountain. 

All garments are made in Belgium, and Andrea also collects the textiles as locally as possible through donations from people in her area or at local thrift stores. In this way, ANDREA BOS keeps the supply chain short and local.

To date, ANDREA BOS’ collections do not contain any animal materials. The circular designer does plan to incorporate second-hand wool and silk fabrics into her designs in the future.

The designer resists the idea that clothing is a disposable product and wants to reinforce the connection between people and their clothes. She creates personalised pieces that people want to cherish for a long time.
