Nanue

Nanue garments are designed by Veronica, fashion designer and founder of Nanue, and ethically handmade in a small workshop in the Canary Islands by women for women. 

Their designs have the perfect fit and offer maximum support without restricting freedom of movement, as the fabric they are made from is ultra-lightweight and high-performance. It has been manufactured with an innovative technology that offers the highest performance and comfort. Hyper-resistant, thin, elastic, soft and breathable. Functional clothing without compromising on design. 

In addition, the yoga clothing has been tested and designed in collaboration with yoga teachers, and some of its garments feature designs by local illustrators.

Their yoga and surf sets are made from recycled polyester (SEAL Recycled Polyester Lycra) and with the minimum amount of material possible. They also have the Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification, which guarantees that no harmful substances or chemicals have been used in their manufacture, either for people or for the environment. So you can be sure that your garments are completely safe to wear during your yoga or surfing practice. 

Their new collection, on the other hand, is made with Econyl regenerated nylon. A yarn composed of regenerated nylon and elastane, which has been manufactured using pre-consumer and post-consumer waste, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastics.

For sportswear, it is often necessary to use a stretch fabric. This elastic is created by incorporating elastane into the fabric. Unfortunately, elastane is a synthetic and unsustainable fabric. But Nanue uses only a small percentage of elastane in their garments. 

They also use a small percentage of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton for their T‑shirt collection.

Nanue uses recycled fabrics, thereby reducing the use of virgin materials, and giving a second life to some materials, such as recycled polyester or Econyl regenerated nylon, which is made using pre- and post-consumer waste, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastics.

Nanue makes its garments locally and ethically in the Canary Islands, where Sara and Veronica, the founders of Nanue, live. In addition, almost all their textile suppliers are from the mainland, their fabric Econyl, which comes from a supplier in Italy.

Nanue is a completely vegan brand! Good news for animal lovers.

Nanue’s concept is slow fashion. They produce on demand, in this way, they avoid overproduction and encourage a pre-order production system (without stock).
