You know the feeling that suddenly there is a hole in your nice jeans, and your once warm sweater or new pants need to be shortened. Don’t panic! The right tailor can solve it for you. This way, you don’t have to say goodbye to your favourite garment and can enjoy it for years.
The City of Amsterdam has come up with a solution. Did you know you can get your clothes repaired with a 40% discount if you have an Amsterdam City Pass (Stadspas) You can do this at about 38 different repair shops across the city. Anyone can have their clothes repaired at these repair shops, but the discount only applies to Stadspas holders, the people who need the discount the most.
What is the City Pass?
The Amsterdam City Pass (or‘Stadspas’ in Dutch) is a pass that Amsterdammers with a low income or little wealth can apply for free to receive discounts on sports and cultural activities. The City pass holders can also use their pass for a discount on repairs on clothing and shoes.
The Campaign and Conditions for clothing:
The promotion is valid throughout the year. With the City Pass, you receive a 40% discount on repairs at the 28 tailors below if:
- The repair costs a maximum of €50,- in total, you can use this maximum once a month.
- The clothing is washed and cleaned beforehand
- You are older than 14 years
The promotion is only valid for repairing clothing, not shoes or interior items such as curtains. The promotion is also not suitable for dry cleaning.
The Campaign and Conditions for Shoes:
The promotion is valid throughout the year. With the City Pass, you will receive 40% discount on repairs at the shoemakers listed below if:
- if the repair costs €50,- or less: you get 40% discount
For example, is the repair € 70? Then you get a 40% discount up to € 50,- and you pay the remaining € 20,- in full. - You are older than 14 years
- You can make use of this promotion a maximum of once a month.
- This promotion applies to all shoe repair and cleaning services.
- This action does NOT apply when buying laces, shoe polish, or insoles or when using the key service.
