For over 15 years, owner Mariska has been collecting and selling second-hand clothing with the aim of giving them a second life. She selects the items with love, washes and repairs them when necessary. Mariska also has her own clothing line, made from second-hand fabrics, and you can even take sewing lessons at Ding&Dingen.

Do you wear sneakers every day? But do you often find new sneakers too expensive and do you want to make more conscious choices when buying “new” shoes? WEAR in Rotterdam is the place to be for you! Located in the Koopgoot, WEAR sells second-hand sneakers and also offers professional cleaning services to make your “old” sneakers fresh again. WEAR contributes socially by providing job opportunities for individuals facing barriers in the job market, allowing them to further develop their talents at WEAR.

With The Swapshop, founders Laura Suijkerbuijk and Monique Drent aim to extend the lifespan of fashion items and make clothing swapping the norm. But do you actually know what swapping is? Swapping is simply the act of exchanging your clothing with others. Perhaps you have some items at home that you no longer wear. You can bring them to The Swapshop and choose new clothing in return. The location of The Swapshop in Rotterdam is currently closed, but Laura and Monique organize numerous events in Rotterdam, and they are also searching for a new location.
