From 4th July until 26th August 2025, Rotterdam Central Station – Blijdorp Side turns into a fashion hotspot for anyone who loves sustainable style. At Proveniersplein 26, the FREE FASHION pop-up store opens its doors, offering stylish second-hand clothing – completely free. Run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers, the store is set up like a trendy boutique: from vintage gems to timeless basics.
When you enter, you’ll receive three coupons, each good for one item of clothing. Stylists are on hand to help you find the perfect pre-loved outfit, and volunteers share insights into the fashion industry’s impact and the power of reuse. You can also join in on repair and upcycling demos in the store.
Have clothes you no longer wear? Bring them along! You can drop off quality women’s or men’s clothing, shoes and accessories any day during opening hours. It’s a simple way to give your clothes a second life and help reduce textile waste. In Rotterdam, over 73% of textiles still end up as residual waste – this initiative shows a better way forward.
The FREE FASHION pop-up is part of a nationwide mission: by the end of 2025, the founders aim to rescue at least 100,000 garments from landfill. By giving away clothing for free in temporary stores, they hope to show how fun, easy and accessible circular fashion can be.
At FREE FASHION, it’s all about sharing, reusing, and making conscious choices – without compromising on style. Stop by, get inspired, and discover that sustainable fashion isn’t just essential – it’s exciting.
