Making an impact locally, socially and ecologically: that is the mission of Made Out Of. In the production atelier of Made Out Of, near Rotterdam, sustainable lifestyle products are made by local makers. They do this on behalf of (large) companies and with their private label that is for sale at various retailers.
At Made Out Of they mostly use sustainable materials. They upcycle old banners, work clothes or bounce houses into bags, they work with vegan apple leather and they make new products from local wood waste. In addition, they also use recycled materials such as recycled cotton, recycled wool felt or PET felt from recycled PET bottles.
Every product by Made Out Of is locally produced in the Netherlands. In this way they can guarantee good working conditions, fair wages and craftsmanship. Local production also saves a lot of CO2. For example, modern craftsmen recycle leather waste into new material in a local atelier, they work together with a social atelier in Breda and they have sustainable notebooks made from 100% recycled paper by the greenest printing company in the Netherlands. In addition, they have also set up a small screen printing and embroidery workshop where local craftsmanship is guaranteed.
