Studio WOUW is a plant-based dye house in Ghent, founded by Kasper and Jolinde. With it, the couple aims to revive local, artisanal textile dyeing techniques.
Studio WOUW makes dye baths from locally sourced and cultivated dye plants. The studio also uses leftover compost products such as onion and avocado peels to dye clothes and fabrics. Moreover, they use more sustainably sourced exotic dye plants because of their special colours.
To make things even more sustainable and circular, this creative duo also uses second-hand clothes and textiles, so an old garment can be given a new life with fresh colours and prints! In their collection, they use vintage textiles as well as organic cotton. These are transformed with distinct, unique and colourful designs for adults and children.
