Frii Shirt, Grosseto reshapes hotel bed linen into shirts on Via Udine. The studio reworks luxury resort linens into made-to-order shirts and one-off heirloom garments, with small runs and an archive of unique pieces that trace fabric histories.
Founded by Francesca Riillo, the brand focuses on garments made from discarded, washed and sanitised industrial linens, primarily shirts and select heirloom pieces under the Frii Shirt label. Materials are specified: 100% recycled cotton white linen bed-sheets, origins Italian or foreign depending on availability; semolina-based cellulose buttons imported from Spain; recycled satin labels made in Italy. Production is artisanal and local, with studio-based design and prototyping and collaborations across Italian tailors, embroiderers and laundries; occasional collaborations extend to a local goldsmith for brooches. Sizes run XS – XXL and many items are made to order or produced as limited one-offs; the Reworked Studio handles prototypes and one-off reworks, and the brand maintains an archive called Frii Heritage for unique historical pieces.
