Karin Heimberg trained as a goldsmith and designer before founding 202 EDITIONS, her jewellery label based in Düsseldorf. Every piece she designs and makes blends fine craftsmanship with an unhurried, small-scale way of working, resulting in jewellery built to be worn for years rather than one season.
At the centre of 202 EDITIONS is elegant, limited-edition jewellery carrying real memories and emotions: pieces meant to be kept and eventually passed on. Each design reflects the wearer’s own character rather than a passing trend, aimed at people who value considered, long-lasting pieces over quick, disposable fashion.
Karin works with both traditional goldsmith techniques and newer production methods, making every piece of the collection herself, inside her own atelier. Rather than holding large stock, 202 EDITIONS produces on demand or in small batches, which keeps offcuts and unsold pieces to a minimum. The gold and silver she uses is recycled, sourced from German refineries, and her material partners and suppliers are based within Germany, keeping the sourcing chain short.
202 EDITIONS keeps refining its process piece by piece, aiming for jewellery that can be traced back to the hands that made it. Each item carries its own story of craftsmanship, in Düsseldorf and beyond, for anyone who wants fine jewellery made with a clear view of where it came from.
