Seraphina is a slow fashion label that produces made-to-order. The brand offers sophisticated clothing with elegant, bold silhouettes, from asymmetric dresses, to versatile wrap blouses and sleek tailored pants.
The brand was founded in 2015 by Ines Claudia Hirwa, a Brussels-based designer inspired by her Rwandan roots, love for Belgian minimalism, modern architecture and Roman antiquity. Every piece is handcrafted in local ateliers in Rwanda and Ghana using fabrics sourced nearby, such as linen and organic cottons.
Quality and sustainability are always considered in Seraphina’s production. Besides choosing for more environmentally friendly materials and prioritising collaborations with local artisans, the garments are carefully made-to-order, meaning they are only created after your purchase and delivered 4 – 6 weeks later. This is a great way to prevent overproduction and support a slower fashion system.
