At OKIMONO you will find the most original eco-friendly t‑shirts and sweaters. Owner Gerrit had no fashion background when he delved into the sustainable world of t‑shirts, but wanted to combine his passion for graphic design with high-quality materials. At OKIMONO they work with more than 30 graphic designers, illustrators and woodcarvers.
Since 2012 they make their own t‑shirts, inspired by current events, design with a wink ;). A new design is released almost every week. The t‑shirts that are worn often say something about the person themselves. For example, you will find T‑shirts on their website with a beer, a funny reference to ‘refuelling’, but also many T‑shirts with an animal or skyline print.
The brand has graphic origin and mainly focuses on (slightly older) men, but as a result they attract a lot of women, so for some time now they have also been selling women’s clothing.
OKIMONO hopes to do good with a little bit of green. Because they care about loyal customers and the earth, they have started their own t‑shirt utility program ‘Recycle Love’. Have you worn out your t‑shirt or sweater? They will then accept your item with a discount on a new one. In this way they ensure that the old model ends up lovingly in the Curitas recycling mill.
