Artist Ageethe Groenendaal has been painting since 1990. About 10 years ago she also started working with textiles, driven by a simple question: “What can be made from discarded clothing?” That question grew into Atelier Pixelpolly Amsterdam, the label behind unique neo-folkloric clothing and accessories. Ageethe’s work has twice been part of the Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week.
Pieces are sold directly through the atelier, her online shop and pop-up events. Visitors are welcome at the atelier on Talmastraat, in Amsterdam-Zuid (de Pijp), by appointment. A great opportunity to meet Ageethe in person, view her art and/or try on a piece.
