Boxer in Blue Swim & Resortwear is the elegant and timeless swimwear label by Dutch designer Wendela de Goederen, founded in 2015 and based in Amsterdam. Known for her signature retro styles and flattering fits, Wendela creates more sustainable, wire-free swimwear for women who want to feel confident and comfortable — without compromise.
After years of living in Singapore and Shanghai, where the brand was originally produced, Wendela made the conscious decision to relocate her production to the Netherlands. Today, every Boxer in Blue piece is made-to-order in Sloterdijk, Amsterdam, using luxurious CARVICO fabrics from Italy. With soft linings, tasteful silhouettes and refined colors, each design brings together Dutch craftsmanship and international flair.
On-demand production is central to Boxer in Blue’s approach. Instead of overproducing, the brand only makes what’s needed — allowing for low-waste, mindful fashion. Clients can order via the webshop, visit Wendela by appointment in her home studio in Amsterdam-Zuid, or meet her in person during one of her many pop-ups throughout the year.
From boldly elegant one-pieces to classic resortwear separates, Boxer in Blue blends retro glamour with modern ease—inspired by the iconic women of cinema, with a wink to the world of Bond.
Wendela proudly calls her collection “Made in Holland” and continues to expand with a focus on improving her environmental footprint, evolving her label in line with the values of slow, conscious fashion.
Boxer in Blue is not just a swimwear label — it’s a personal, made-to-measure experience, rooted in craftsmanship, confidence, and design that lasts.
