Allerlei is the second-hand gift and interior design shop that has been part of Amsterdam’s street scene for 16 years. The shop has grown into a regular destination for those looking for second-hand items in the higher segment. In April 2025, the shop moved to larger premises and is now located opposite the RAI, at Europaplein 5.
Everything in the shop is consignment. People can bring in items every day, ranging from toys and books to home décor. These items are sold on their behalf. Thanks to the daily contributions, the range is constantly changing, which means that no two visits are the same.
Selection plays a central role at Bij Allerlei. Although the items are second-hand, the shop is emphatically not a charity shop. The space is clean, calm and contemporary in design. Only items that are in good condition and fit in with the look and feel of the shop are offered for sale. Sets remain complete and the products are clearly presented, which contributes to the atmosphere of the shop.
Depending on what is brought in, well-known brands can regularly be found. For adults, these include Bodum, Wedgwood, Brabantia, Pols Potten, HK Living, Villeroy & Boch, Serax and Royal Copenhagen. For children, these include Lego, Fisher Price, Djeco, Ravensburger, Vtech, Schleigh, Little Dutch and 999games.
The shop is run with great pleasure and love by its enthusiastic owner and has a loyal customer base. This commitment became even more apparent during the election of the Best Shop in the Netherlands. This public award resulted in Bij Allerlei being ranked number six in the top 10 Best Shops in the Netherlands and the best shop in Amsterdam for home & lifestyle.
Bij Allerlei is supported by the people who visit it. The suppliers clearly make an effort to deliver beautiful items, and visitors who shop there appreciate the atmosphere and the ever-changing range. This makes the shop a place with attention, character and a clear identity of its own. The shop is experienced as a pleasant place in the neighbourhood, where careful selection and personal attention come together.
