At DAINTY DYSTOPIA, more sustainable textiles meet botanical art. Stylist and fashion designer Anke discovered plant dyeing during a workshop in Mexico in 2018 – and was immediately captivated. Since then, she has been creating unique one-of-a-kind pieces, offering creative workshops, and developing DIY kits that let you try plant dyeing at home – perfect for families too.
In her online shop, you’ll find hand-dyed interior items and clothing made from deadstock fabrics. Everything is sewn in collaboration with a local seamstress – made-to-order and without overproduction. For workshops, Anke mainly uses secondhand textiles. The colours come from specially collected plant parts or dried flowers and bouquets. The mineral mordant is non-toxic and environmentally responsible.
A special favourite: custom-made keepsakes dyed with bridal bouquets – a meaningful wedding gift or voucher idea.
Anke also gives workshops with various local and international partners, such as florists or restaurants. You can book a private workshop for as few as five participants at your request.
