What do you learn?
- Basic sewing stitches: running stitch, running stitch, blanket stitch, blind hem stitch, ladder stitch
- Basic embroidery stitches: cross stitch, French knot
- Practical techniques for minor clothing repairs such as closing holes, mending seams, fixing hems and reattaching buttons
What does the workshop look like?
- Lesson 1: You will learn all the techniques and practice them on a sampler – a kind of stitch pattern that you can take home with you as a handy reference.
- Lesson 2: You bring one or more garments from home and get started right away. We help you apply the right technique, so that you go home with a visible and wearable result.
