During Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week Rotterdam, De Wasserij’s Makerslab is opening its doors for an afternoon full of creativity, inspiration and sustainable fashion. Discover how small alterations can make a big difference and experience the joy of getting hands-on with upcycling, repairs and textile craft.
The Makerslab Flash Day consists of various activities. Discover the Upcycle Wasstraat, take part in short hands-on activities or book a place at one of the Flash Sessions in the Makerslab. This way, you can tailor your afternoon to your own preferences and decide which techniques you’d like to explore.
- Hand stitching and visible mending
- Working with a sewing machine
- Applying beads, patches and textile embellishments
- Small-scale upcycling and personalisation techniques
You’ll use a stamp card for these activities. Each activity costs a certain number of stamps, so you can choose which stations to take part in.
Who is it for?
The Makerslab Flash Day is for anyone who is curious about sustainable fashion, creativity and making or altering their own clothes. No experience is necessary; the activities are suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.
