On Sunday 4 October, the goldsmith’s atelier in Ghent hosts a workshop on making fine silver rings. Participants learn the basics of goldsmithing, including sawing, filing and soldering, along with how to give their rings a finish of their choice, guided by an experienced goldsmith. By the end, everyone goes home with two finished silver rings made entirely by hand, fully customised to their own taste.
No prior skill or experience is needed, the goldsmith is happy to show participants they’re more capable than they think. The workshop is open to anyone aged 16 and up.
