Love clothes and vintage finds, or wonder about the impact of the fashion industry on people and the environment? This talk is for you. COSH! founder and CEO Niki de Schryver takes you into the often invisible side of fashion: waste colonialism. In 2024 she visited the Dandora landfill in Kenya and saw first-hand how fast fashion waste affects local communities.
It’s not all doom and gloom. The session also looks at practical alternatives, from how we buy clothes to how we handle the ones we already own, with concrete tips to take home.
The talk is part of Week van de Fair Trade and is organised with the support of the City of Bruges and Enabel.
