sweersocean Moves into Sofie Darche for Five Days
From 14 to 18 October, sweersocean sets up in Sofie Darche’s space on Kloosterstraat in Antwerp, bringing its pieces, its materials and its own world to the city for five days.
The pairing makes sense. In her Antwerp studio, Sofie Darche makes handbags by hand in small production runs, using selected Italian leathers. Her bags are shaped to be comfortable on the move and designed to be carried for many years, through the city and through Antwerp’s changeable weather.
sweersocean shares that starting point. For both brands, good design begins with the material and with craftsmanship, and with the aim of making pieces that become part of everyday life rather than passing through it.
