Fashion, Craft, and Human Stories Under One Roof
REantwerp opens its doors for Faces, Fabrics & Future, a special installation that brings together fashion, craftsmanship, and the human stories behind the work.
In the corridor leading to the atelier, visitors are guided past ten video portraits of the makers behind REantwerp: people with a background in textiles who are building a new future in Antwerp today. Inside the atelier, a series of shirts takes centre stage, made from fabrics designed by first-year bachelor students of the Antwerp Fashion Academy, inspired by the moodboards of the REantwerp makers. Stories, materials, and creativity come together in one place.
Throughout the festival, the team is at work live in the atelier, so visitors can not only discover the collections but also witness the making process up close.
A warm and inspiring stop for anyone who believes fashion is about people as much as it is about clothing.
